Construction in Progress at Eagle Cove

Pictures Pictures Pictures

Building a house is exciting, fun, frustrating, annoying and every other emotion one can think of. Pictures show the physical progress but not the emotion. That can be a good thing or a bad thing. We hope these pages are enjoyable in any case and the viewer is, we are sure, lucky to be spared the frustration and annoyances. Keep watching and we will build this page as we build our dream house (keep scrolling down to get to all the pictures).

Pictures through October 20th.........

Pictures through November 19th......

Pictures through December 14th.............

Visible progress has slowed down as we finalized the plumbing and electrical and put in the final touches of the heating system. At the end of December and into early January, we also added insulation, finished doors and windows and began putting up the drywall. With the drywall the house really takes on its inside shape. The next step is to pour the finished cement slab on the first floor and add the forms for the marine mosiacs being designed by Cyrena Nouzelle. Those pictures will be up in a few weeks (fingers crossed for luck!)

Pictures through January 14th.......

The forms for the mosiacs are in and the finished floor is down!

Pictures through February 7th.........

The last several weeks seemed to show little progress, maybe the crew were hibernating for the winter months, but now we are starting to see a light at the end! Daryl finished the shingles, the stucco is mostly up, Tim finished the fireplace masonery (now just waiting for the mantel) and the cabinets arrived.

Pictures through March 20th........

Wow, things have really moved since the last update. painted, cleaned and almost ready for prime time, we are only a week or so away from starting to move in. Check out our new front door and the mosiacs in the floor!

We're almost there!!........

June 12th, hundreds of boxes, but we finally made it in! Visitors coming on June 20th, so we had to unpack quickly.

Final (well, never really final) pictures......
